My gorgeous boy Stanley was my best pal and his brother William was my best pal too! He was a rescued cat along with his brother from the Cats Protection, aged just 12 weeks old. I fell in love with him straight away; after his bad start in life he was skittish and even at such an early age didn't really like people especially men! I knew he would end up loving me as much as I loved him. All the special hours we spent together were worth it, as he became my baby!! He would love to sit on my knee, lie between my legs and we would play "cat-kiss" games which were such a wonderful experience I always ended up laughing. Stanley, was a free-spirit, who loved to go on adventures unlike his brother who liked to stay near to home! We moved to County Durham just six months prior to him passing away; he loved to go catching rabbits in the farmer's field not much we could do about it. On the 31 August 2016 he went out after our cuddles - five days later after leaflet drops he was found in the farmer's field; possibly been shot. My heart was instantly broken. After having cats for over 30 years now, it never gets any easier when they die but the time we had together was the best possible experience ever and Stanley you will always be close to my heart! William his brother also died just 4 months later didn't think my heart could break anymore than it already was!
